Tournament response: Average Committee Response
A) Jeff Knapp won the 616 at Roxbury lanes. His team is susceptible to a re-rate.
1.) Jeff Knapp 206 to 208: 210 Par Avg, Split the difference to bring him up to 208.
2.) Rob Thompson 184 ent avg, 185 par avg. Only 1 tournament bowled, no change.
3.) Bob Davidson 225 to 228: 230 par avg, bring Bob up to 228, split the difference and bring him up to the same spot on the list as Tom Anderson and Mike O'Brien.
B) Ronnie Noel 218 no change, only 1 tournament bowled.
C) Daniel Nadasky 186 to 188. Committee agreed on 2 pin increase due to 198 par avg and cashing 4/5 Tournaments. A maximum of 193 was considered but felt his teammates help Daniel.
D) Rich Eaton 180, No Change because he hasn't cashed in 5 events.

Stated Concern or Compliment: Jeremiah Meno's Avg, Anthony Escalona's Avg, Rob Richards Avg, I believe all 3 are 210 avg's bowlers. Rob's sport rerate this year is about 210. Jeremiah is consistently above tourney avg and his entering avg
What can we do to fix the problem? Take his body of work, Ave, Points won per tourney against tourney avg
Do you want a response from this? Yes

Tournament response: Average Committee Response
Tournament winners are susceptible to a re-rate. This team won the Narrows event and was sent in to the 616 Average Committee for review:
A) Anthony Escalona is performing below entering average, no change.
B) Jeremiah Meno's tournament average is 205, he started the year at 205. Bump him up to place him in line with similar caliber bowlers.
C) Rob Richards is averaging 212 after 4 events. No one deserves a huge re-rate, split the difference and place him at 207.

Appeal: Rerates of winning team are not high enough. Concern of re-rating just enough to still let team bowl. They are a strong team.
Tournament response: Average Committee Response
A) Most teams near the cap are going to be strong.  If 207, 204, and 205 are what they are fairly, leave them be.  If they start running away with tournaments consistently, worry about it then.

B) Let them bowl as is.  We have rated two of the bowlers up.   I don't think any of those guys are out of line with comparable bowlers on the list at their revised averages.

C) As individuals they are fairly close to where they should be at this point. Looking at only at the current seasons numbers and after rating Rob and Jeremiah up the team appears to be fair.  I will say I wouldn't be against raising Rob up a pin or 2 but at this point its not needed.

D) Team is fair. Take another look if team wins again.

Stated Concern or Compliment: Rerate J. Meno, C Riess, J Knapp, T Clawson, R Eaton, M Schultz
What can we do to fix the problem?
Do you want a response from this? No

Tournament response:
All the above was looked over by the 616 Average Committee and the following was determined.
A) J Meno, 203 to 205
B) C Riess, 201 to 205
C) J Knapp 206, no change- performing at 207 Tournament Average
D) T Clawson 200 to 205
E) R Eaton 181, no change- hasn't cashed in 4 events
F) M Schultz 184 to 188
The above listed can appeal there re-rate, before they bowl next event.
Appeal: C Riess' re-rate is after just 1 event and didn't cash.
Tournament response: Chuck was re-evaluated but because he averaged 220, plus 24 pins over event average (194), re-rate stands.

November 23rd, 2008
Stated Concern or Compliment: The following bowlers need to be re-rated, Ken Waltman, Tony Clawson, Sopheap Phorn.
What can we do to fix the problem? Re-rate
Do you want a response from this? Yes

Tournament response:
A.) Ken Waltman Sr is re-rated to 204, up from 198. The new average is Ken's 3 year composite. Ken has had a steady decline in book averages. This has been a factor used for all 50 plus aged bowler's ratings.
B.) Tony Clawson is re-rated to 201, up from 199 which had already been re-rated up from 190 (high last year book). Tony bowled at Highline lanes last season. Such average from that league has been re-rated up 10 pins to 200, therefore calculating his (composite of 3 years) current entering average to 201.
C.) Sopheap Phorn is re-rated to 194, his last 3 year composite. Under investigating league experience, Pep bowled a modified House Shot last season at 188. Common 616 practice is re-rating challenge condition averages up 5 pins if bowler does not have any or very little house shot averages. Pep is re-rated up to 194 from 188.
