Schedule Rules Averages Champions/Results

Sweep-Sweep-Win

Team Richards, A.K.A Team “House Shot”, needed just one point to seal the win Sunday at Acme and couldn’t quite muster it. They hit a huge steam roller, Team Leingang. It came down to game 8, 10th frame, Joe Leingang vs. Jeremiah Meno after Team Leingang had team point, middle and anchor points in hand. Ball for Ball they went back and forth with each one striking, convincingly. It was awesome and impressive to see such clutch bowling with the tournament championship on the line. It was anchor atmosphere in the lead-off position. They both struck out, Joe shooting 246 to Jeremiah's 239.

Once again it showed through how important team chemistry is and how much it helps, but then again, it also helps to have a bowler on your team average 250 for the day! Kent called his brother Kevin and asked him to come over from Troy, Montana and it paid off. Kevin hasn’t bowled in 5 years, picked up the game again this season and averaged 203. Sunday he showed he is up to Tournament form shooting 300 in game 4 and only losing one point in game 6, 219 to 245 against Danny Combs.

“The shot was really fun and got challenging as the day went on. We rode Kevin like a donkey all day!” said team captain, Joe Leingang. “This tournament is fun, the 616 has found the perfect combination, great turn-out.”

I would like to thank everyone for coming out for this event. Don't forget to get your reservations in for Kenmore on May 4th and the Finals on May 18th. The Finals will be at Secoma lanes and only one bowler on the team needs to have 3 tournaments in. Bowler of the Year prizes will be awarded and announced at the Finals.
